郅敏，雕塑家，画家。1975年出生。现为中国艺术研究院中国雕塑院专职艺术家。联合国教科文IOV（民间艺术国际组织）会员，中国分会青年委员及美国分会终身委员。中国美术家协会会员。中国雕塑学会会员。从九三年起，郅敏一直从事艺术创作和理论研究，近年来积极参与公益性非物质文化遗产的保护和推广。
2004年，郅敏考入中央美术学院雕塑系第四工作室攻读硕士学位。2006年，公派赴美国罗德岛设计学院（RISD）学习，2007年初回国，同年研究生毕业，获硕士学位并进入中国艺术研究院工作。在1997年本科毕业于中央工艺美术学院后，1997年至2004年，他成为郑州大学建筑学院教师，七年的教师生涯平静而丰富，收获不仅是教学相长的专业素养，而且触及到建筑设计和城市规划的一系列思想和理念，为他后来和将来的更宽广的艺术创作铺垫基础。在这个阶段，郅敏创作了大批灵气非凡的平面艺术作品。这些作品尺幅不大，艺术家把目光始终集中在个人内心，淡淡的忧郁在自我回归的过程中自然流泻出来，真挚感人。同时进行了雕塑的本体语言研究和材料语言研究。
2007年，郅敏受邀在上海美术馆举办首次雕塑个展并获得成功。较为完整地呈现出此阶段的创作状态。这次展览是艺术家2004到2007年创作的一个小结。
从2005年起，郅敏进入了个人创作新的旺盛期，连续几年的思考和劳作，他创作了双生系列第一阶段的作品。“双生”是艺术家这几年持续关注的概念，这个概念并非单纯意味着相遇或者背离，而是强调事物之间的关系，是一种“你中有我，我中有你”的状态。围绕着“双生”概念的引入，郅敏已经形成了有关个人创作的初步结论，但是更值得注意的是通过自己的创作，他已经将“双生”引申为某种个人艺术实践的“辩证法”，它不仅针对于其造型、风格的层面，也针对于其所适用的技术、媒材等载体。
创作于2005年的《我和我自己》是双生系列的首件作品，随后是《五官的故事》、《双生系列》和《美人鱼系列》，分别讨论双生概念中“互生”、“双生”和“共生”的话题。“五官”中鼻子、眼睛、嘴的形状和奇异瑰丽的画面并置在同一件作品中，既传达一种带有仪式感的肃穆，又隐隐渗出丝丝暧昧。“双生”的人、猫或交错、或相背，黑白的色彩天然地和中国传统道家文化的标志——太极契合，一分为二，以至无穷，作品的意义无限延伸，营造出自由的精神空间。“美人鱼”是郅敏最新近的创作，是双生系列不断发展的产物，严肃地讨论共生的理念。和传统美人鱼相异，鱼头人身完美结合的雕塑传达着艺术家的奇思妙想。双生从并置发展倒内在的相和，“双生”的概念被不断向前推进，并落实在作品中，这是一个艺术家不断成熟的过程。

在进行艺术创作的同时，郅敏近年也为非物质文化遗产的保护和推广做了大量公益性的工作。2008年，他受邀到美国盐湖城参加联合国教科文IOV组织的首届世界青年大会大会，并在会议上以中国非物质文化保护及当代生活为主题演讲，得到热烈反响。并受邀成为联合国IOV组织的会员，首位美国分会终身委员以及中国分会青年委员，负责中国区的相关事务。同年九月，参加联合国教科文IOC（国际陶瓷协会）中国年会并做大会发言。十月，参加中国艺术研究院和法国法兰西学院艺术院联合举办的“中法保护世界文化多样性高层论坛”等社会活动。

郅敏已成功举办三次个人展览，多次在美国、墨西哥、德国等国家参加联合展览，其作品被上海美术馆，中央美术学院，清华大学美术学院，联合国教科文IOV总部，香港抱趣堂当代艺术馆等机构和私人收藏
