胥建国(1962.11—)山东莱芜人。擅长雕塑。1987年毕业于中央工艺美术学院雕塑本科；1993年中央工艺美术学院雕塑研究生毕业，1997年在职攻读博士学位。中央工艺美术学院装饰艺术系雕塑教研室主任。参加创作设计中央人民政府赠送香港特别行政区政府雕塑《永远盛开的紫荆花》获嘉奖；参加北京“中华世纪坛”总体设计；参加“莲花”雕塑设计。作品《心源》获中央工艺美院平山郁夫奖学金一等奖；总体设计北京世界公园“童话世界”、深圳“儿童乐园”、“儿童世界”。

2、公共性雕塑是雕塑领域中的一个新兴类型，对此展开广泛深入地研究对当今中国雕塑的多元化发展和城市文化建设都将产生积极的作用，有重要现实意义。
