甘武炎，笔名二火，广西贵港市人，广西艺术学院美术系毕业。中国美术家协会会员，广西出版工作者协会前副主席，广西书画艺术研究会常务理事，首任广西美术出版社总编、社长、编审，广西文史研究馆馆员。擅长雕塑、人物画、大写意中国画。作品入选第五、第六、第七届全国美展和中国美术出版届全国美展并被中国美术馆收藏。2009年在广西美术出版社美术馆举办的《写意风神—甘武炎大写意国画展》，深受欢迎。甘武炎先生的画，以大写意著称，笔墨淋漓、用笔老掘、个性张扬、品味高古、对比强烈、冲击力强，随意而有趣，古朴而大气，深得美术界的赞赏。作品远传海内外，被国内外相关机构收藏。其本人曾获广西文艺最高奖“铜鼓奖”，被授予“有突出贡献的专家”称号。著有《当代中国画六十家——甘武炎》、《线集》等著作多部。
