余忠为，1960年出生福建霞浦，自幼痴心丹青，毕业于中央美术学院，中央美术家协会会员、中国版画家协会会员、中国插图装帧艺术研究会会员、中国藏书票艺术研究会理事、中国民建福建省委文化艺术研究委员会主任，福建东南艺苑理事长，现供职于中央福建省纪律检查委员会编辑部。作品曾入选第23届国际德国版画展、新加坡第十界世界华文展、第七届全国美展、全国水彩画大展、第三、四、五、六、七、八届全国版画书票展、第十三届全国版画展；作品曾获第三界全国版画书票铜牌奖、全国美展优秀奖等，作品被意大利、德国、日本、加拿大、新加坡等国收藏。作品发表在海内外报刊并作专题介绍。先后在香港、台北、北京、福州等地举办画展，作品深受各界好评。1990年名字被收入德国编印的《国际艺术家名录》，传略被编入《中国当代艺术界名人录》《中华人物辞海》等辞书。出版有《余忠为画集》《余忠为水彩画作品选》等专著。
