吴虚弢，1975年出生于北京。1994年考入中央美术学院版画系，1998年毕业并留校任教，2001年7月中央美术学院版画系研究生毕业，获硕士学位。现为中国人民大学艺术学院绘画系讲师，中国美术家协会会员。
1999年铜版画《校园民谣—冬日阳光》入选第九届全国美展；2004年水彩画《大地》入选第十届全国美展。2003年水彩画《夜眠的列车》参加第二届中国美术金彩奖全国美术作品展，获优秀奖。2005年，水彩画作品《山中的塔吉克人之二》，入选第七届全国水彩、粉画作品展。2007年11月，油画作品《拿手机的女孩——白东梅像》入选2007“时代精神”全国人物肖像油画作品展。多幅作品发表于《美术》、《美苑》、《美术研究》、《中国当代美术》等期刊，并为中央美术学院美术馆、广东美术馆收藏。

Was born in Beijing 1975. Took an examination of department of woodcut of central academy of fine arts 1994, graduated 1998 and stay school teach, woodcut of academy of fine arts fastens graduate student graduation in the center of July 2001, obtain master's degree. It is brushwork of institute of art of Chinese people university to fasten instructor now, chinese artist academician.
1999 etching " campus balladry, wintry day sun " selected beauty of the 9th whole nation is exhibited; 2004 aquarelle " the earth " selected beauty of the 10th whole nation is exhibited. 2003 aquarelle " the train of nocturnal Mian " attend work of art of whole nation of award of Jin Cai of art of the 2nd China to exhibit, win outstanding award. 2005, aquarelle work " of the tadzhik in hill " , selected work of picture of watercolour of the 7th whole nation, pink is exhibited.
