余永健，男，1957年10月生，福建漳州人。1986年毕业于广西艺术学院美术系中国画专业并留校任教，现任广西艺术学院桂林中国画学院院长、教授、硕士研究生导师，广西高等教育艺术委员会委员，广西高等院校艺术类招生考试专家组委员，漓江画派促进会常务理事，中国美术家协会会员，广西美术家协会副主席。
主要研究方向为中国画（花鸟）创作与教学（工笔、意笔兼擅），为自治区教育厅A类科研立项项目负责人。国画《荷花》入选首届全国中国花鸟画展，《溢香图》入选第八届全国美展，国画《大凉又至》入选世界华人书画展获铜奖。作品入编《世界现代美术家辞典》、《中国当代美术家人名录》等十余种辞书画册。
主要研究领域为中国画创作与教学。作品曾获全国美展铜奖和优秀奖，省（区）美展金奖和一等奖，获广西文艺创作最高政府奖“铜鼓奖”。获全国优秀教师称号和曾宪梓基金全国优秀教师奖。先后在美国、奥地利、越南、泰国等国家与中国台湾、广州、杭州、桂林等地区举办画展和讲学。出版有《余永健线描集》等专著画集。
