1972年生于贵阳市。自幼随外祖父刘知白习山水画。2005年结业于中国艺术研究院美术学硕士研究生课程班。现为贵州画院中国画创作室主任，国家二级美术师。贵州省中国画艺术委员会委员，贵州省工笔画研究会副会长，贵阳市美术家协会理事，贵州省青年联合会委员，毕节学院兼职教授。
