祝大年画作

祝大年（1916-1995），当代著名陶艺家、壁画家、工笔重彩画家、工艺美术教育家。生于浙江省诸暨市枫桥镇。长期从事陶瓷设计和工艺美术教学工作。早年在杭州国立西湖艺专和北平同立艺术专门学校学习。一九三四年赴日本，在东京帝国美专攻读陶瓷美术，并在星冈窑厂实习。回国后，先后在重庆中央工业试验所和上海红叶陶瓷厂任工程师、总工程师。解放后在轻工业部工作，以后调中央美术学院、中央工艺美术学院任副教授、系主任、教授。一九五二年为制作建国纪念瓷，曾和景德镇老艺人合作，设计制作各种传统日用餐具和陈设瓷，参加国内外展览，对恢复景德镇传统瓷器工艺做出了一定贡献。一九六0年后，主要从事工笔重彩教学和壁画创作。为首都国际机场设计制作陶瓷壁画《森林之歌》、燕京饭店瓷壁画《松竹梅》。曾任中央美术学院副教授、实用美术系陶瓷科主任；后任中央工艺美术学院教授，陶瓷系主任、中国陶艺学会理事长、中国壁画协会副主任、中国工笔重彩画会顾问、中国工业设计学会理事、中国工艺美术大师评审委员会委员等。著有《祝大年画选》。
1979年为首都机场创作陶瓷壁画《森林之歌》。1985年创作陶瓷壁画《桂林山水》、《玉兰花开》等，赴美展览。1987年在香港举办个人画展。1994年在中国美术馆举办《祝大年美术作品展》。1995年在北京病逝，享年79岁。
