靳尚谊，1934年生，河南焦作人。1953年毕业于中央美院绘画系。1957年结业于马克西莫夫油画训练班，并留校在版画系教授素描课；1962年调入油画系第一画室任教。原中央美院院长。现为中央美院博士生导师、教授、中国美协主席、中国文联副主席、全国政协常委，中国文学艺术界联合会第十届荣誉委员，澳门科技大学荣誉博士，中国美协第九届名誉主席。

Jin Shangyi, born in 1934, Jiaozuoren, Henan Province. Graduated from the Department of Painting, Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1953. He graduated from the Maksimov Oil Painting Training Course in 1957 and remained in school to teach sketch in the Print Department. He was transferred to the First Studio of the Oil Painting Department in 1962. Former President of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is now the supervisor, professor, chairman of the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts, vice-chairman of the Chinese Federation of Arts, Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, the 10th honorary member of the Chinese Federation of Literature and Arts, the honorary doctor of Macao University of Science and Technology, and the 9th honorary chairman of the Chinese Association of Fine Arts.
