Zhao Wuji (February 13, 1921 - April 9, 2013) is a French painter of Chinese origin. Born in Beijing, China. In his childhood, he studied in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, and studied painting. In 1935, he entered Hangzhou Art College, where he was taught by Lin Fengmian. In 1948, he went to France to study and settled in France. In the creation of painting, with the form of modern western painting and the color skills of oil painting, participating in the implication of traditional Chinese culture and art, creating a new painting space with changeable color, powerful brush strokes, rich rhythm and light sense, which is known as the representative of western modern lyric abstract school.
