Zhang Xiaoyong, born in Qihe, Shandong Province, loves painting and calligraphy since childhood. As a young boy, he studied landscape under the famous Chinese painter Heibo Longmen, and paid tribute to Li Keran. Huang Runhua specialized in landscape painting as a teacher and also took charge of characters. He also taught advanced courses for assistants of the Department of Chinese Painting of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and advanced courses for Professor Yao Duo, director of the Department of Chinese Painting of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Later, he was recommended by Professor Yao Duo to study Japanese painting in the Graduate Class of the Tokyo He has participated in many national and international exhibitions of painting and calligraphy, and has been invited to hold exhibitions and lectures in Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. He first moved to Canada and then lived in Hong Kong. Zhong Gu's Drunken Picture won the Excellent Award of the World Chinese Century Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition on the 10th Anniversary of Hong Kong's Return to Chinese Love, the Excellent Award of the National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition of Chinese Love, the Excellent Award of the National Art Exhibition of Chinese Love, the Excellent Award of Huangye Jiangnan, the Excellent Award of the Graduation Exhibition of Creating Advanced Classes, and the Excellent Award of Spring Rhyme. Fine Brushwork Exhibition Excellent Prize, etc. Its works are widely collected by Capital Museum, Chinese History Museum and collectors at home and abroad.
