勤奋的耕耘者——记画家李承毅

20世纪60年代初,我有幸考进北京少年宫国画组,报到那天,北京少年宫国画组辅导员指着墙上的美术作品给我们新学员介绍,其中有当代名画家为少年宫讲课留下的示范作品,也有上届学员创作的优秀作品,承毅的作品也列在其中,那清新活泼的笔墨已具有相当的功力,让我们这些小学员羡慕不已,他成为我们心中的偶像和学员的榜样,从那时起,李承毅这个名字就给我们留下了深刻印象。
1967年,我在北京画院画家溥松窗先生的引见下,拜王雪涛先生为师学习花鸟画,李承毅又成了我的师兄,回想起在老师家里学画的往事,那是我们人生中最快乐的时光。强烈的求知欲和对国画艺术的共同兴趣使我们不约而同地常在“迟园”(王雪涛先生画室斋号)相聚,看老师作画,听老师讲解画理画论。有时我们也带一些作品请老师指导点评。雪涛先生总是拿起炭条耐心地边修改边提出些建议。闲暇之余还会给我们讲些他与前辈画家的趣闻轶事,让我们从中悟出做人的道理。我们有机会与大师零距离接触,亲聆教诲,这是我们的幸运。我们与承毅兄有过这种幸运,这幸运影响和温暖着我们的一生。
“迟园”众多弟子中,我和承毅兄交往最为密切,这不仅是因为我们师出同门,更主要的是他学习努力,做人本分,是值得我信赖的兄长。他给我的印象是:尊师重道、为人坦诚、行事低调。他是位知恩图报的人,恩师去世之后,有关老师的纪念活动他都积极参与并做了许多工作。在“迟园”的弟子中,他以他的真诚赢得师兄弟们的尊重,与恩师的家人一直保持来往。承毅兄还是位诲人不倦的美术教育家,他在中央工艺美术学院附中任教多年,为祖国的教育事业做出了自己的贡献。承毅兄痴迷艺术,对素描、油画、国画,都有涉猎,我认为他写意花鸟画的成就最为突出,由他编着的几本国画技法书在全国广为发行,由于受到广大读者的欢迎,天津人民美术出版社曾多次再版。承毅兄的写意花鸟画日臻成熟,他除了学习老师的技法,还对前人如陈淳、徐渭及近代画家吴昌硕、齐白石、陈半丁等都有所研究和汲取。少年功夫老始成,写意花鸟画是个厚积薄发的画种,一生的努力终有所成。
由于承毅兄行事低调,不事张扬,厌恶自我膨胀式的宣传,在时下以媒体为主的浮躁环境下吃亏不少,但他视名利为浮云,依然保持诚实做人专心为艺术的心态,真是难能可贵。我坚信那种靠炒作却在艺术上不下工夫的人终不能长久,有眼力的人终究是有的,他们会发现明珠的光辉,是金子终会穿掩而灿的。
我与承毅兄相识数十载,对其人品、画品十分了解,值此承毅画集付梓之际,不胜欣慰叙述浅见,权作为序。

李承毅简介
李承毅,字诚意,号燕京布衣,斋号滴石堂。1942年出生于四川省成都市。1954年师从着名画家王雪涛先生为入室弟子直至1982年先生去世;1958年至1961年就读于中央美术学院附属中学,师从肖重华、于月川、卢沉等先生;1961年至1969年就读于中央工艺美术学院,师从李苦禅、田世光、俞致贞、白雪石等先生。曾任教于中央工艺美术学院附中、中央工艺美术学院(现清华大学美术学院)。现为北京美术家协会会员、北京花鸟画研究会理事、中国佛教书画院院士、中国榜书艺术研究会艺术委员。作品多次在国内外展出、获奖并发表。多幅作品被天安门、毛主席纪念堂等单位收藏。曾在甘肃、澳门及美国等地举办个人画展。出版有《李承毅画集》、《怎样画写意牡丹》等着作。传略辑入《中国当代文艺界名人录》和《世界文化名人辞海》等多部辞书。

On the day of registration, the counselor of the traditional Chinese painting group of Beijing Children's palace pointed to the art works on the wall to introduce to our new students, including the demonstration works left by famous contemporary painters for lectures in the children's palace and the excellent works created by the previous students. Cheng Yi's works are also listed. The fresh and lively pen and ink has considerable skills, Let us little students envy him. He has become an idol in our hearts and an example for students. Since then, the name Li Chengyi has left a deep impression on us. In 1967, introduced by the painter Pu songchuang of Beijing Academy of painting, I paid tribute to Mr. Wang Xuetao as my teacher to learn flower and bird painting. Li Chengyi became my senior brother again. Recalling the past of learning painting at the teacher's home, it was the happiest time of our life. Our strong thirst for knowledge and common interest in traditional Chinese painting make us often meet in "Chi Yuan" (Mr. Wang Xuetao's studio Zhai) to see the teacher draw and listen to the teacher explain the theory of painting. Sometimes we ask our teachers to comment on some works. Mr. Xuetao always picks up the charcoal bar and patiently puts forward some suggestions while revising it. In his spare time, he will tell us some interesting anecdotes about him and his predecessors, so that we can understand the truth of being a man. We are lucky to have the opportunity to have zero distance contact with the master and listen to his teachings. We have had this kind of luck with brother Chengyi, which affects and warms our life. Among the many disciples of "Chi Yuan", brother Cheng Yi and I have the closest contact. This is not only because we have the same school, but also because he studies hard and is a man. He is a brother worthy of my trust. He gave me the impression that he respected his teachers, was honest and kept a low profile. He is a person who knows how to repay his kindness. After the death of his mentor, he actively participated in and did a lot of work on the commemoration of his teacher. Among the disciples of "Chi Yuan", he won the respect of his brothers with his sincerity and kept in touch with the family of his mentor. Brother Chengyi is also a tireless art educator. He has taught in the middle school affiliated to the Central Academy of Arts and crafts for many years and made his own contribution to the education of the motherland. Brother Cheng Yi is obsessed with art and has dabbled in sketch, oil painting and traditional Chinese painting. I think his achievements in freehand flower and bird painting are the most prominent. Several traditional Chinese painting techniques books compiled by him have been widely distributed throughout the country. Due to the popularity of the majority of readers, Tianjin People's Art Publishing House has reprinted them many times. Brother Cheng Yi's freehand flower and bird paintings are becoming more and more mature. In addition to learning the skills of his teachers, he also studied and learned from his predecessors, such as Chen Chun, Xu Wei and modern painters Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi and Chen banding. Young people's Kung Fu begins with old age. Freehand flower and bird painting is a kind of painting with accumulated experience and a lifetime of efforts. Because brother Cheng Yi is low-key, doesn't publicize and hates self expanding publicity, he suffers a lot in the impetuous environment dominated by the media. However, he regards fame and wealth as a cloud and still maintains the mentality of being honest and concentrating on art. It's really commendable. I firmly believe that those who rely on hype but don't work hard in art can't last long. There are people with eyesight after all. They will find that the brilliance of the pearl is gold, which will eventually wear and cover. Brother Cheng Yi and I have known each other for decades and have a good understanding of his character and paintings. When this collection of Cheng Yi's paintings is published, I'm very glad to give a brief account of his opinions and take the right as the preface. In February 2014, Li Chengyi was introduced to Li Chengyi in bathing snow bookstore, with the word "sincerity", No. Yanjing cloth clothes and No. Zhai dishitong. Born in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in 1942. In 1954, he studied with the famous painter Mr. Wang Xuetao as a disciple until his death in 1982; From 1958 to 1961, he studied in the middle school affiliated to the Central Academy of fine arts, under the guidance of Mr. Xiao Chonghua, Yu Yuechuan, Lu Shen, etc; From 1961 to 1969, he studied at the Central Academy of Arts and crafts and studied under Mr. Li kuchan, Tian Shiguang, Yu Zhizhen, Bai Xueshi, etc. He once taught in the middle school attached to the Central Academy of Arts and crafts and the Central Academy of Arts and crafts (now the Academy of fine arts of Tsinghua University). He is now a member of Beijing Artists Association, a director of Beijing flower and Bird Painting Research Association, an academician of China Buddhist calligraphy and painting academy, and an art member of China Publishing Art Research Association. His works have been exhibited, awarded and published at home and abroad for many times. Many works have been collected by Tiananmen Square, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall and other units. He has held solo exhibitions in Gansu, Macao and the United States. He has published works such as Li Chengyi's paintings and how to draw freehand peonies. The biography has been compiled into many dictionaries, such as the "list of celebrities in Contemporary Chinese literary and art circles" and "the sea of words of world cultural celebrities".
