画上落款：“戊午腊月写于石湖，李士达。”下钤“李士达”白文、“通甫”白文、“石湖渔隐”白文。本幅弘历题诗一首，钤有乾隆、嘉庆和宣统时内府鉴藏印多方。
图画水村山郭，松屋柳溪，村中人家，长者访友宴饮，儿童燃放鞭炮，敲锣打鼓，辞旧迎新，欢庆佳节。所画山水、松柏笔墨苍劲滋润；所画人物用笔圆熟，无论老少，身姿各异，神态生动，每个人物形象皆具动感，全无刻板之姿。画面充满岁朝繁忙、喜庆的升平景象。画法严谨，笔法流畅娴熟。

On the painting, the inscription reads: "The twelfth lunar month of the 18th afternoon was written in Shihu, Lishida." Xiajun "Lishida" Baiwen, "Tongfu" Baiwen, "Shihu Fishing Hermit" Baiwen. This is a poem of Hongli inscription. There are many kinds of inscriptions and seals by the government during Qianlong, Jiaqing and Xuantong periods.
Pictures: Shui Village, Shanguo, Songwu Liuxi, the family of the village, the elderly visiting friends for dinner, children setting off firecrackers, playing gongs and drums, saying good-bye to the old and welcoming the new, celebrating the festival. The landscape, pine and cypress brush and ink painted are vigorous and moist, and the characters painted are well-rounded, no matter young or old, with different postures and vivid expressions. Every character has a dynamic image and no stereotyped posture. The picture is full of busy, festive and peaceful scenes. The painting is rigorous and the brushwork is fluent and skilled.
