On the right side of the picture is a signature inscribing the cloud: "Great ancestor Wen Yi's portrait. Great-grandson Erli is conscientious." This picture is the remains of Nayancheng, the great-grandfather of Erli. Na Yancheng (1763 - 1833), Zhang Jiashi, Zishao Jiu, No. Yitang, Manchuria Zhengbai Banner. In the fifty-fourth year of Qianlong (1789), Jinshi selected Shuji, taught editing, and studied in Zhinan. During his tenure, because he was good at poetry and calligraphy, he had to participate in the compilation of "Shiqu Baodu Continuation" and "Secret Hall Pearl Forest Continuation" with nine other people, such as Wang Jie, the master of Shang Study. Later, he served as Minister of the Ministry of Work, Minister of the Interior and Governor of Zhili. Daoguang died in 1833 and was awarded the title of "Wenyi".
In the picture, Nayancheng is dressed in civilian clothes, knee-to-knee with both hands, sitting on a stone with his breast in danger. His clear face, gaze forward and firm expression should be his image during his tenure. The figure's face is delicately touched, convex and concave, and the clothes are washed and precise, reflecting the basic features of the portrait paintings at that time. Tu left a portrait of the late Qing Dynasty famous minister in his twilight years, which has high historical value.
