　　款题：“丁未夏六月，仿井西道人笔，为兰翁砚兄。同学王翚。”钤“王翚”朱文印。

　　“丁未”是清康熙六年（1667年），王翚时年36岁。

　　图绘万壑千岩、草木葱茏、瀑布高悬直泻的江南风光。王翚约16岁师从同邑张珂学画时，就以元黄公望（号井西道人）的笔墨为宗，刻苦摹学始终不怠。此图是他早年学黄氏画法的代表作。图中山石以赭色和绿色交替晕染，学黄氏用纵线的披麻皴皴擦石面，笔势潇洒而秀润。其石边缘上的苔点要比黄氏的更为繁密，排列整齐的苔点，给高崖峻壑增添了青绿之美，同时，它与以卧笔横点表现的树叶，形成点与点的呼应，全图在“点”的统一下，具有湿润华滋的艺术效果。

The picture depicts the scenery of the south of the Yangtze River with thousands of rocks, green plants and waterfalls. When Wang Fei was about 16 years old, he took the brush and ink of Yuan Huang Gongwang (Xidao Ren of Nuojing) as his principle when he studied painting from Zhang Ke in his hometown, and he never neglected to copy. This picture is his masterpiece of Huang's painting in his early years. In the picture, the mountain stones are alternately dyed with ochre and green. Xuehuang rubs the stone surface with a vertical line of hemp, and his strokes are smart and elegant. The moss dots on the edge of the stone are more dense than those of Huang's. The neat arrangement of moss dots adds the beauty of green to the high cliffs and steep ridges. At the same time, it echoes with the leaves represented by horizontal pen dots, forming points and points. The whole picture is unified in "points", which has a moist and lush artistic effect.
