Jia Lu was born in Beijing in 1954, while living in China, as Jia collect operation room nurses, an actress and a magazine editor. In 1980, she was admitted to the central Academy of Fine Arts and design (central Academy of Fine Arts), now part of the Tsinghua University and studied fan Zeng, graduated in 1983.
1983, Lu Chinese left to study art in addition to Canada, first in the Toronto art school, and later became a graduate of York University, College of Visual Arts. She was elected member of the China artists association. Her first major solo exhibition in Sarnia Public Art Museum in 1989, and in the art gallery of Edmonton (now the Alberta Museum of Art) in 1994 from 1983 to 1995, her work is mainly in Chinese ink painting and mixed media, and display.
