王旭东，1938年生，山东龙口人。现为中国美术家协会会员、山东艺术学院教授、山东省老年书画研究会副会长、华夏书画艺术委员会主席、美国亚洲艺术家协会名誉会长。其作品深厚、博大、俊逸，山水、人物、花鸟均能，是一位全才画家。

王旭东先生从艺五十年，成果显著。自1976年以来，已有五百余幅作品入选国内外重大展览并获奖；四百余幅作品在《人民日报》、《光明日报》、《美术观察》等专业刊物发表和专题介绍。其作品有香港出版的《王旭东画集》、《中国山水画技法》，北京出版的《中国当代艺术家画库王旭东专辑》、《名家经典王旭东画集》，《传统与创新》等数十本画集专著。1992年至今应邀赴东京、旧金山、洛杉矶等地讲学和举办个人画展，为中国驻日本、孟家拉等国使馆绘制巨幅国画二十余幅。他的作品和成就载入美国出版的《美洲文汇周刊》、日本出版的《中国书画家名鉴》和中国出版的《中国近现代书画选集》、《世界美术集》等多种画集和辞书，并荣获国际文化交流荣誉金奖和洛杉矶蒙特利市荣誉市民称号。
