现任湖南省美术家协会漫画艺术委员会主任、衡阳市美术家协会副主席、中国记协——中国新闻漫画研究会理事。中国美术家协会第五届国际嘉兴漫画双年展优秀作品（最高奖）、入选过第十届、第十一届全国美展。曾策划、组织首届中国当代优秀漫画作品展并由天津人民美术出版社出版《中国当代优秀漫画作品集》（张卫主编）、编辑发行《全国抗震救灾漫画大赛作品集》和组织开展国际漫画竟赛大奖——中国漫画家十大精品奖评选等活动。
